MIXED FORTUNES FOR TEAM HANNSPREE STIGGY RIDERS IN VALLELUNGA.

As predicted, the weather conditions today improved from cold and rainy to sunny and warm. However, the track was still partially wet in this morning's free practice due to yesterday's heavy rain showers. The tricky conditions didn't seem to affect the HANNspree Stiggy Motorsport Honda riders and they finished the session in third and sixth places.
In qualifying, the track was completely dry and Robbin Harms managed to take advantage of the improved conditions to secure ninth place on tomorrow's grid. Unfortunately, Joshua had difficulty finding the right settings on his bike in the afternoon timed session and will have to start from the fifth row of the grid.

Robbin - 9th, 1.40.290
I'm happy how today went. We didn't have time to test the bike in the dry yesterday due to the rain, but this morning it finally started to dry up. In this afternoon's qualifying we managed to find a good dry set-up on the bike. I haven't ridden here before so much so I'm really happy with what I accomplished today. I have a good feeling for the bike and the track. The team managed to find a good set up early on in the session and from there we worked out a good set-up for the race tomorrow. We will only make small adjustments in the morning warm-up and then the bike should be really good.

Joshua - 19th, 1.40.986
This morning we had a pretty good set-up for the conditions and I managed to finish in third place. In qualifying we tried to improve the bike for the dry, but it didn't feel good at all. I went back into the garage and spent quite a lot of time in there while the mechanics worked on the bike. Once back out, I tried to get comfortable and cut my lap times but by then everybody was going much faster and I was unable to match them. I had problems with the grip and also found it hard keeping my lines in the corners. The good thing is, after analysing all the data, we now know, what we have to change in-order for me to have a good race set-up, so that's what we will focus in the warm-up tomorrow.

Johan Stigefelt
Robbin did well today and I'm happy with his performance and happy that we managed to find a good dry setting on his machine so fast. He has a good race pace and set-up for tomorrow. Unfortunately for Joshua, things didn't work out today. It was working well for him in the morning session, but then qualifying wasn't as good. It was hard finding the right way for him to go faster. Hopefully tomorrow we will sort out the issues for him.
