2008 Supersport World Championship
Preview: Round 12, Magny-Cours, France, 5th October
Positive outlook for Team Stiggy
This coming weekend (3-5 October), the French circut of Magny-Cours hosts the 12th and penultimate round of this year's Supersport World Championship.
In the championship standings, HANNspree Stiggy Motorsport Honda rider Joshua Brookes is in third place, with one win, three second places and one third to his credit.
With just twenty-eight points separating Joshua and the leader and seventeen points between him and second place, the Australian is determined to close in on his nearest rivals by putting in a strong performance at the French circuit this weekend.
Following a great sixth place finish in the last round in Vallelunga, Robbin Harms will be looking for further positive results at Magny-Cours. The Dane is returning to a circuit he didn't race at last year due to injuries, but is confident about finding good settings on his machine and getting comfortable with the track.

I'm third in the championship with two rounds remaining, so therefore these next races are really important for us. In the last round at Vallelunga we were unlucky not to collect the results and championship points we were hoping for. But we must continue chasing the title and get the best out of these two last rounds. Magny-Cours is a fun track and although I finished in seventh place last year, I know I can definitely do better this time round.
Robbin
In Brno and Brands Hatch, I wasn't able to bring home the results due to bad luck and technical issues. But luckily I have progressed since then and so my motivation has increased. In Vallelunga we made some wrong tyre choices for the race, but I still managed to bring home a good sixth pace. Even though I didn't race at Magny-Cours last year, I hoping for good results this year. But anything can happen in racing and we will have to see it turns out this weekend.
Johan Stigefelt
We are going into the final stages of the championship and we still have a good chance of fighting for the title. We were unlucky not to close in on the leader as much as we wanted in the last round in Vallelunga, but hopefully this weekend we can counter that with a win! I have my fingers crossed for good weather, but I also know that Magny-Cours can be really cold and miserable if we are unlucky.
