Weather conditions hamper Stiggy riders at Magny-Cours.

Changing weather conditions made it difficult for HANNspree Stiggy Motorsport Honda riders Joshua Brookes and Robbin Harms at Magny-Cours today in both the free practice and qualifying and neither qualified as high as they expected. The afternoon's 45 minute qualifying session was interrupted by rain showers leaving most of the field stranded in the garages waiting for the weather to clear up. When the riders ventured out for the remaining few minutes, Joshua managed the ninth fastest time and Robbin 13th.

Joshua - 9th, 1.44.390
It was a difficult day today, not just because the weather was changing all the time, but also because we had problems with the front end. I experienced a lot of chatter and the front tyre felt like it was worn out after just a couple of laps. I found it difficult riding consistently as the bike felt heavy to handle. We spent a lot of time in the box due to the rain and that didn't do us any good either. Hopefully we will improve the set-up tomorrow.

Robbin - 13th, 1.44.712
It feels OK so far. I haven't ridden here since 2006, so it took me quite a few laps getting to know the track well again. The bike feels great and we didn't have any significant problems, which was good as it allowed me to ride as many laps as possible. We have a good base set-up to work with tomorrow and we just need to get the right combination of everything. If we are lucky with the weather, it will be good for us for sure.

It is always difficult when the weather is changing all the time, although it's the same for everybody. The qualifying was interrupted by rain showers, which kept the boys in the garage for a long time, and the remainder of the 45 minute session didn't leave much time for them to improve. We're hoping for a dry day tomorrow and better qualifying results for both riders.
